Undergraduate Program Committee

The Undergraduate Program Committee is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the undergraduate program in Statistics. In particular, the committee serves as the courses and curriculum committee of the undergraduate program and through the Director of Undergraduate Programs brings proposals to the faculty for discussion and vote. From time to time the Director of Undergraduate Programs may call on the committee to assist in the selection of winners for various awards, honors and scholarships.

Graduate Admissions Committee - Statistics

The Graduate Admissions Committee - Statistics is responsible for reviewing applications for admission to the graduate programs in Statistics and making admission recommendations through the Director of Graduate Programs to the Graduate School.

Gertrude Mary Cox Fellowship Committee

The Gertrude Mary Cox Fellowship Committee is responsible for setting standards, for the review of candidates, and for the selection of suitable candidates for the Gertrude Mary Cox Fellowship. The committee's recommendations are transmitted to the Director of Graduate Programs for implementation subject to resource constraints.

Graduate Courses and Curriculum Committee - Statistics:

The Graduate Courses and Curriculum Committee - Statistics is responsible for providing ongoing review of the graduate programs in Statistics. This includes consideration of the course offerings, minimum requirements for degree programs and minors, Basic and Preliminary examination procedures, and other matters pertaining to graduate programs in Statistics. The committee brings proposals to the faculty for discussion and vote.

William Mendenhall Fellowship Committee - Statistics:

The William Mendenhall Fellowship Committee - Statistics is responsible for formulating a summer Statistics Education project (based on ideas solicited from the faculty) and for selecting the 2003 Mendenhall Scholar to carry out the project.

Paige Plagge Award Committee

The Paige Plagge Graduate Award Committee is responsible for reviewing award nominations and for selecting the winner or winners of the Paige Plagge Graduate Award for Citizenship awarded each spring. The committee's recommendations are transmitted to the Director of Graduate Programs for implementation subject to resource constraints. Quoting from the charter: "A graduate student with an outstanding academic record, who in the judgment of the committee has especially enhanced the life of fellow students with encouragement, generosity and/or humor, will be selected by the committee to receive (the Paige Plagge Graduate Award for Citizenship)".
