A postdoctoral research position is available in Samantha Kleinberg’s group
in the Computer Science department at Stevens Institute of Technology. Our
broad focus is analysis of time series data, with an emphasis on causal
inference in complex, large-scale, observational data. For researchers
interested in working with challenging real-world data, our collaborations
with clinicians at Columbia University and other institutions allow for
unique access to patient data along with the opportunity to have a tangible
impact on patient care.

The ideal candidate will have experience in a subset of the following areas:
-Analysis of large-scale data
-Causal inference
-Time-series analysis
-Biomedical inference
Requirements:
-PhD in computer science or a related field (e.g. statistics, bioinformatics,
physics)
-Strong publication record
-Excellent communication skills
The position is available immediately and is open until filled (though fall
start dates are also possible). Initial appointment will be for one year,
with the potential of renewal for 1-2 additional years.
Stevens Institute of Technology is a private university located in Hoboken,
New Jersey. The campus is on the Hudson river across from midtown Manhattan,
within 10 minutes from NYC via public transportation, and accessible to
suburban communities in Northern New Jersey along commuter train lines.
