North Carolina State University provides a variety of computing services for all users affiliated with the University. Once the appropriate information has been entered into the campus Human Resource system a campus account and id is created.

The campus account is referred to as the UNITY account and will be used to access most campus resources.

The campus id number is a 9 digit all numeric number that is associated to your campus information. Initially the default password for your UNITY account is the last (4) digits of the campus id plus the (2) digit month and (2) digit day of your birthday. The default password for your ST (Department) account is the last (4) digits of your campus id.

Once you have been told your campus account and id number you have the minimum information to start utilizing some campus resources.

There are a variety of services provided to campus users by the Office of Information Technology (OIT).
