SAS Consultants

Non-Credit SAS Classes  

The SAS classes described below are taught by the SAS consultants in the Department of Statistics and are non-credit classes.

These classes are open to all NCSU faculty, staff and students. There are no fees associated. Registration is required and the classes fill up quickly.

Class announcements are sent to CALS department heads, the ncsu-sas-users listserv, and students who have added their name to the notify list.

SAS Short Course
The Department of Statistics teaches a SAS Short Course each semester. The course is an introduction to SAS programming and the SAS environment with a heavy concentration on the data step. It is fairly fast paced. It is normally 9 - ninety minute periods. Each class includes lecture, demonstration and practices for the students.

The course covers selected material from the Programming1 and Statistics 1 course notes published by SAS Institute.

Other SAS Short Courses
The Department of Statistics will occasionally offer additional SAS Short Courses on topics such as: SAS Macro Language, the Output Delivery System (ODS), SAS/GRAPH and The Basics of Running Simulations in SAS.
