ST 524 Statistics in Plant Science

Course Description

Field experimentation: block and plot shape and orientation, optimum plot size; power and sample size calculations; experiments in greenhouses and growth chambers: replication of between and within-chamber treatments; combined ANOVA for trials in several years and/or locations; factorial treatment designs and partitioning main and interaction effects; multiple comparison procedures; design and mixed model ANOVA for split-split and strip-split plots, repeated measures ANOVA, confounding in factorial designs, lattice designs, nonlinear regression, analysis of covariance, spatial analysis techniques.
