Application Process
A completed application consists of:
- An application form which is submitted on-line through the
Apply Yourself web site.
- An official transcript from each institution
of post-secondary academic work
- Three letters of recommendation, preferrably
submitted on-line
- GRE scores from the general test. The GRE score should be no older than December 15th, four years prior to your planned enrollment. For example, if you are applying for Fall 2010, your score should be no older than December 15th, 2006.

in mathematics may also be submitted but are not required.
Official score reports are required. The department does not
have
a minimum required GRE score.
- TOEFL may be required according to the rules set by the
graduate
school. iBT scores are preferred.
The graduate school sets the minimum acceptable scores. Again, official score reports are required.
- A written statement describing your academic and career
goals, as well as special interests in the area of statistics. The
statement should not exceed 2 pages.
- An application fee, which can be paid on-line.
The above application materials also serve as your application
for
financial support. No additional application needs to be submitted.

Deadlines
Fall admission:
Complete applications received by December 15 will receive highest
priority for admission and financial aid. The Graduate School gives a deadline of
June 25 for admission in the following Fall semester.
However, the Department of Statistics makes
very few offers of admission or financial support after April.
Spring admission:
The Graduate School gives a deadline of November 25
for admission
in the following Spring semester. However,the Department of Statistics
makes very few offers of admission or financial support for students to
begin in Spring.
