       HOMEWORK #1

       Use the following data that's in the file hoium.dat 
       in the course website.  This is an interesting dataset
       from a MS student in meteorology.  The data are county name,
       number of warnings, number of verified warnings, percent (sic)
       verified, population density, county area and per capita income.
     (a)  Write a SAS program to read in this information.  Label
          each variable.
     (b)  Obviously the "percent verified" data are wrong -- "fraction
          verified" would be more appropriate, but notice that they are
          given to only two decimal digits.  Are these rounded to the
          nearest digit or chopped (rounded down)?
     (c)  Find the population of each county.
     (d)  Print a table of (only) county name, area, population, and
          per capita income, (just 4) sorted by population density.
          Print with the variable labels.
     (e)  Plot fraction verified against population.
     (f)  Plot number of warnings against income.
     (g)  What are the units of area?
