Statistics 101


Statistics 101 is an introductory course in Statistics. It is taught with a focus on real interactions with statistics. Special emphasis is given to interpretation of statistical evidence provided in the media. The topics presented focus on understanding concepts of statistics rather than rote formula application. Students use the text Statistics Concepts and Controversies by David Moore. Students will also make use of the Webstat statistical analysis applet.

The majority of material for students of the course is found within WEBCT.
