"Technical Presentations with PowerPoint"
ABSTRACT
Technology is pushing us to change the way we present our courses and professional papers. PowerPoint 97 has features that allow you to overcome some of the objections to using slides for presentations. The main advantage in PowerPoint 97 is the ability to build graphics, including equations, object by object instead of showing the final result or gradually uncovering parts.
In this presentation I lay the foundation with some basic principles of presentations. I then show examples to illustrate how to follow these principles in delivering presentations directly from the computer. As time permits, I will include a brief tutorial on how to animate a slide in PowerPoint.
