"Analysis of Cis-regulatory Signal in the Genome"

ABSTRACT

The discovery of sequence elements that have transcritional regulatory function is one of the major challenges in computational biology. We will discuss methods to identify sequence motifs and regulatory modules. The methods we developed are based on comparative genomics and statistical modeling. Examples presented include the regulation of Hox genes and ribosomal protein genes.
