Fix for printing from SAS/INSIGHT in UNIX - SAS 6.12

System: UNIX version 6.12

There is a printing problem from SAS/INSIGHT when the user has selected the "Analyze" --> "Fit (Y X)" analysis. If Host Printing is on, all of SAS disppears. If Host Printing is off, the first Print within INSIGHT may work, but will not print afterwards.

Solution:

By default, SAS/INSIGHT prints or saves only what is displayed on the screen and not the entire window. To modify the default action, from the pmenu choose
"Edit" --> "Windows" --> "Select all".

To save the INSIGHT output to a graphics catalog, choose
"File" --> "Save" --> "Graphics Catalog"
Select the SASUSER library
INSIGHT is the default catalog name
SAVE is the default entry name - will need to change the entry name if need to save additional entries (instead of replace an entry)

There are several ways to replay and print a grahics catalog entry. One method is while in INSIGHT, to make another window (i.e. pgm, log, output) active and choose
"Globals" --> "Access" --> "Display libraries"
Tab to the SASUSER libref and enter S (Select)
Tab to the INSIGHT catalog and enter S (Select)
Tab to the desired entry name and enter S (Select)
"File" --> "Print"

The SAS/GRAPH drivers are used for printing instead of the host drivers.
