Support (Y)our Department of Statistics

The NC State University Department of Statistics is one of the oldest, largest and the best departments in the country. The Department is internationally recognized for its interdisciplinary research- research that has a strong foundation in theory and provides solutions to important problems related to agriculture, climate, and economic and human health, among others. The Department also has outstanding teachers who are members of the NCSU Academy of Outstanding Teachers and who have received external recognition for their teaching. Faculty members also continue to provide a valuable service to other scientists on- and off-campus, and are known for their professional service.

The success of our Department is measured by the success of our alumni, and the Department is proud of its alumni! The continuation of this tradition relies not only on the high quality of our faculty, staff and students, but also on financial support for their efforts. Private support of scholarships, fellowships and other programs ensures that our students have access to world-class educational opportunities, and that our faculty members have the necessary funding to continue their important activities in research, teaching and service. The Department is grateful to many of our alumni and friends who have generously donated their money and time in the past, and we appreciate your continued support.

The Department has established the following projects as its current funding priorities:

While these are our current priorities, gifts of any designation are greatly appreciated.
